Who We Are Link to heading

Cornucopia Machines founders

Melinda has been passionate about growing her own food since childhood. Fifteen years ago, she started her first farm, focusing on organic practices and high-quality produce. As her passion project grew, she became the supplier of microgreens and edible flowers for all five of Budapest’s Michelin-starred restaurants at the time.

She also wrote a popular book on small-space farming for people just starting out with their gardens, offering detailed guidance on what to plant, when to plant it, and how to care for it. In addition, she led workshops teaching people how to design and grow their own gardens.

Lóránt has a background in software development. He has worked at various tech companies and gained experience across many aspects of software product development. His skills span engineering, product development, and design.

Over the years, he has built both web application front ends and back ends, and even developed a font-rendering engine at Prezi. More recently, he worked as a senior principal engineer at Gradle Inc., where he designed and shipped automation tools to boost developer productivity at some of the world’s largest organizations.

For the past ten years, we’ve been working together on our family farm, combining our expertise in agriculture and technology to create innovative solutions for our own needs. This journey led us to prototype an automated growing system, which we now aim to bring to life as the Cornucopia GrowMachine.
